A massive fire broke out at a library of Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in Delhi's Pitampura area on Thursday morning.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

Sharing details, a senior fire department official said a call regarding a fire incident at the aforesaid college's library was received at 8.56 am following which 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

"The fire was in the library at first floor and then later on it spread to the second and third floor," Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said.

Within 40 minutes, the firemen were able to extinguish the blaze from the 3-storey building.

"The cooling operation is underway," the official said.
