The government has announced an initiative under the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti Mission, offering free professional coaching to 2,200 meritorious students of government schools preparing for competitive exams including JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation, and CUET.

Education Minister Ashish Sood said the mission aims to strengthen emotional, psychological and academic support structures while ensuring equitable access to career opportunities. The government has allocated Rs 21 crore for the programme.

Coaching will be conducted through leading empanelled institutes such as Aakash Institute, Narayana Academy, KD Campus, and Ravindra Institute. Students will receive classroom teaching, live sessions, study material, and test preparation support after school hours and on weekends.

To promote inclusivity, the scheme will reserve 50 seats per course for girls in JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA Foundation. For CUET (UG), 1,000 seats will be offered, including 150 reserved for female candidates.

Calling the initiative a transformational step, Sood said, “These students are not just preparing for exams, they are preparing to transform their lives. With this mission, we are not only offering educational resources but also building the courage, confidence, and emotional strength to dream bigger.”

He highlighted that 62,000 students appeared for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2025) conducted on October 30, reflecting massive demand and ambition among Delhi’s youth.

Addressing the emotional well being of students, the minister emphasised the need to strengthen support systems in schools. He said, “No child in Delhi should ever feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported. Education is not just about marks; it is about mental wellness, dignity, and humanity.”

He urged schools to work on early distress detection, teacher sensitisation, and peer driven communication frameworks.

Reaffirming the broader vision of the government, Sood added, “We are building schools where children learn with joy, teachers teach with pride, and communities engage with purpose. With AI-enabled classrooms, modern furniture, digital tools, and human centred values, we will make Delhi’s government schools the first choice for future generations.”

Sood concluded, “Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti Mission is a movement. A movement to empower talent, protect mental wellness, bridge societal gaps, and unlock Delhi’s academic potential at the grassroots.”
