Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched three new academic curricula — NEEEV (New Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development Scheme), Science of Living and Rashtraneeti (National Policy) — aimed at preparing students with skills in entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, and civic responsibility alongside academics.

The launch, held at Bharat Mandapam, was attended by Education Minister Ashish Sood, senior officials and teachers. Developed by the Directorate of Education, the courses have been rolled out across all government schools in the Capital.

Gupta said the initiative was designed to equip children not only as learners but as future job-creators. “These courses will instil a business mindset from an early age, introduce artificial intelligence, and refine students’ personalities with sensitivity and compassion,” she said. She added that her government’s focus was on building better schools rather than “large buildings or flyovers,” and assured that resources such as labs, toilets and playgrounds would be provided to all schools.

Education Minister Ashish Sood described the initiative as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. “Every student is not just a learner, but a potential Prime Minister, scientist, entrepreneur, judge, soldier, or artist,” he said, urging teachers to help rebuild the credibility of government schools.

He also stressed that education should include lessons on good touch and bad touch, responsible mobile use, traffic rules and civic sense. “The strength of a nation does not lie in buildings or military power, but in the character and values of its citizens,” Sood said.
