New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has received the ‘Global Water Tech Award-2024’ in the ‘organisation’ category for its initiatives to conserve environment, as per an official statement issued on Sunday. The Global Energy and Environment Foundation (GEEF) presented the award to recognise the DMRC’s efforts in water conservation and efficient utilisation of water resources across Delhi. Its key initiatives include rainwater harvesting pits, sewage treatment plants and the use of treated effluent for construction,and dust suppression at various sites. PTI

HC order today on Ramdev plea

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court will pronounce its order on a plea on Monday by several doctors’ associations against Yoga guru Ramdev over his claim of Coronil being a “cure” for Covid-19. The plea forms part of a 2021 lawsuit by the doctors’ associations against Ramdev, his associate Acharya Balkrishna and Patanjali Ayurveda.
