Delhi recorded 4,524 fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday, the lowest the national capital has seen since April 5.

It recorded 340 deaths in a day, a health bulletin said.

Delhi’s positivity rate dipped to 8.42 per cent.

Delhi had been devastated by the deadly pandemic last month. Images of hospitals struggling to deal with the influx of patients, people drying of both the virus and shortage of oxygen around the city, and funeral pyres burning in crematoriums in the city made international headlines and became the face of India’s second deadly wave of the pandemic. — Agencies
