Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday announced the national capital would host the All India Speakers’ Conference on August 24-25.

The event would see the participation of around 60 Speakers and Deputy Speakers from various state assemblies and legislative councils across the country.

Gupta said all invited dignitaries would be accorded ‘State Guest’ status, with special arrangements being made in their honour. “The Delhi Government is committed to ensuring a warm and dignified welcome for all delegates,” she stated.

The Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat has been tasked with overseeing and coordinating all protocol arrangements related to the conference — from the arrival of the guests in Delhi to their departure.

This includes reception, accommodation, transport and all other hospitality requirements, in line with their official status.

“These distinguished leaders are our honoured guests and Delhi will extend to them the highest levels of respect and hospitality,” the Chief Minister said.
