Over a dozen vehicles, including cars and trucks, collided on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida amid the dense fog on Saturday morning.

No major injuries were reported in the accident, officials said. It led to a traffic jam for nearly five kms on the expressway.

The police and toll staff called crane to remove mangled vehicles and clear the road for traffic.

Eastern Peripheral Expressway is also known as the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway. The six-lane, 135-km-long expressway passes through Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and is a key route for traffic around the National Capital Region.
