An official said a PCR call was received at the North Rohini police station about the incident on March 9. “After getting information, a police team reached the spot,” the official said.

The father of the deceased alleged her husband’s involvement in the matter, following which a case has been registered under Sections 85 and 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The woman’s husband, identified as Osho Parjapati, a resident of Shakurpur, has been arrested in this regard. “Further investigations are on to know the exact cause of death,” the officer stated.
