Yadav expressed unhappiness over the sanitation conditions in certain areas and directed officials to lift garbage from vulnerable points at least twice daily. He emphasised that “no citizen should face inconvenience due to poor sanitation and that strict monitoring of cleanliness should be carried out across all wards”.

As part of his visit, the Deputy Mayor also inspected various Chhath ghats to assess the ongoing preparations for the festival. He reviewed arrangements related to cleanliness, electricity, lighting and the smooth movement of devotees.

“Under the direction of the Chief Minister, we will leave no stone unturned to ensure the grand and smooth organisation of Chhath Puja in Delhi. All officials have been instructed to make proper arrangements for cleanliness, lighting and other essential facilities around the Chhath ghats,” said Yadav.
