Development won’t stop even if I am jailed: Delhi CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, February 4

Hitting out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal said he will never join the BJP. His statement came amid the poaching allegations made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The CM said even if he is put in the jail, development works will not stop.

The crime branch has served notices on the CM and minister Atishi regarding the allegations against the BJP.

While laying the foundation of two government schools, the CM said, “They have tried every strategy to stop the development work, but we have not stopped it. We have continued development work. We will not bow down. No matter if you put me in the jail, the development work will remain continue. We have the support of the public and we will not bow down.”

The AAP had alleged that seven of its MLAs were offered Rs 25 crore each to join the BJP.

“The BJP has alleged that the AAP has done corruption in the Delhi government. Manish Sisodia is in the jail for making schools and working for their improvement. Similarly, Satyendar Jain has been put behind bars for improving the health infrastructure and constructing Mohalla Clinics,” he added.

On occasion, the CM laid the foundation stone of two new school buildings in the Kirari constituency. Kejriwal said the Delhi government has allocated 40 per cent of the budget for education and health over the past nine years in comparison to the Central government, which spends only 4 per cent on the same.
