The National Investigation Agency has arrested Abdur Rahman (28), an ophthalmologist at MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, in connection with the Islamic State Khorasan Province case.

“During interrogation, Rahman confessed to have conspired with Syria-based IS operatives to further their activities. He was in the process of developing a medical application for helping injured IS cadres in conflict-zones,” a senior NIA official said. — TNS
