Domestic help dies by suicide

A 20-year-old domestic help allegedly hanged herself to death at Maple Garden Society in the Sector 50 area here. Her body was recovered from a room at 5.00 am on Thursday.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Khushi Pal, a resident of Araria district in Bihar. She had reportedly been working at a home in Maple Gardens for several months. The cause behind the suicide has not ascertained yet and no suicide note was found there.

It is being said that the deceased was mentally stressed for the last few days and took the extreme step last night. When she didn’t come out of her room this morning, the family knocked on the door. It was locked from the inside. A peek through the window revealed her body hanging from a noose. The police have informed the kin and have sent the body for autopsy.
