The university had opened registrations for the special round between September 17 and 19, where candidates paid a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000. This round is significant as it allows students who either did not take CUET-UG or could not secure admission earlier to compete for the remaining seats. Unlike previous rounds, selections will be made solely on the basis of Class XII marks.
Shortlisted students have been notified via email about their reporting schedule. They must appear in person at the Multipurpose Hall, North Campus, carrying the required documents. Seat allotments will be made instantly depending on merit and availability. After this, candidates are required to pay the admission fee online without delay. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
University officials said the number of vacant seats is subject to change due to withdrawals and reconciliations. The mop-up round is expected to witness huge participation as students seek a final chance to enter the DU this academic session.
