Delhi University’s Zoology Department on Tuesday inaugurated a three-day faculty development programme (FDP) titled “UG research: A way forward under undergraduate curriculum framework-National Education Policy-2020 (UGCF NEP-2020)” to promote a robust research culture among undergraduate students.

Welcoming over 50 participants from various DU colleges, department Chairperson Rita Singh said, “It is imperative that we empower our faculty to guide students in research that is meaningful, ethical, and aligned with national goals.”

The FDP will continue until July 24, and will feature sessions on mentorship, ethics, research supervision, and collaborative opportunities.

Delhi Pradesh BJP vice-president Lata Gupta said, “Research is not confined to laboratories; it is a tool for solving real-world challenges, especially those affecting women, mental health, and skill training.”
