In the wake of the Assembly poll results signaling a potential regime change in the Capital, the General Administration Department (GAD) issued an order on Saturday directing that no files, documents, or computer hardware be removed from the Delhi Secretariat complex without prior authorisation from the relevant authorities.

The GAD order, addressed to various department heads and in-charges, emphasised that no files, documents, or electronic equipment should be taken outside the Secretariat without explicit permission.

“The necessary instructions should be issued to branch in-charges in departments and offices within the Delhi Secretariat to ensure the safety and security of records, files, documents, electronic files, and other related items under their sections and branches,” the order stated.
