According to the police, it was reported that some individuals were halting their vehicles on the Vikaspuri flyover, leading to traffic congestion and inconvenience for the public. On a couple of occasions, joint drives with the traffic police were conducted to fine these vehicles.

However, an incident was reported wherein around 20-25 cars were causing disturbance on the Vikaspuri flyover towards Peeragarhi by bursting colour bombs and driving recklessly, particularly during the enforcement of Section 144 of the CrPC in Delhi due to the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ call.

In response, the local police and traffic police decided to take strict action against such activities. Consequently, a case was registered under Sections 279 and 188 of the IPC, and an investigation was initiated.
