From Dubai, he travelled through 15 countries via the donkey route and reached Rico Coast in Central America. However, before he could proceed to America, the Gurugram police apprehended him at the Delhi airport in the early hours of Sunday.
The Gurugram police had arrested Sardhania, the main accused in the firing on Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria and the murder of property dealer Rohit Shaukeen in Gurugram. Sardhania is now on a five-day police remand. During interrogation, he disclosed that after obtaining a passport using fake documents, he reached Dubai and then travelled through 15 countries via the donkey route to Central America.
The Gurugram police released a video of Sardhania, in which he fell on his knees and appealed to everyone to stay away from the world of crime. “I, Sunil Sardhania, have been in the world of crime for the last 15 years, and cases of murder and attempted murder have been registered against me. There’s nothing in this crime world. I appeal to all to stay safe at home and never connect with any criminal, who will only use you and you’ll regret it later. So, stay home; home is the best,” he said in the video.
According to a senior investigating officer, Sardhania revealed that his father, Amar Singh, resident of Sardhana village in Sonepat, was murdered, leaving him mentally traumatized. After his father’s death, Sardhania began living with his uncle in the village and attended the village school until the 10th grade. He then left the village and never returned. A few years later, his name surfaced in criminal cases involving robbery, extortion, and murder, and he subsequently joined the ranks of gangsters.
Karan Goel, DCP West, stated that a total of 24 cases of serious criminal incidents have been registered against Sardhania and his associates in various districts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Following Sardhania’s arrest, the police have now set their sights on gangster Deepak Nandal, a former music producer who is suspected to be operating his criminal gang from London and orchestrating violent incidents in Gurugram. Nandal and Sardhania had committed crimes together, and the police are questioning Sardhania to gather more information about Nandal.
