Girl student shot at twice by stalker

She is being treated at a hospital and the accused in on the run.
A CCTV video of the incident has surfaced showing the accused standing near his motorcycle and the girl passing by with her peer. He is seen shooting her twice and fleeing on the motorcycle, leaving the pistol on the spot.
A senior investigation officer said that the injured girl student was admitted to a private hospital in Sector 8. According to doctors, she is out of danger.
The victim is a resident of Bhagat Singh Colony and a Class XII (Science) student of the open education board. She used to visit a library in Shyam Colony to prepare for the JEE. On Monday evening, she had left the library with her friend before being shot at.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as 20-year-old Jatin Mangla, a resident of Sarmathla village near Sohna in Gurugram. He had been harassing the girl for some months.
A senior police officer said that the accused had enrolled in Classmate Library about six months ago while the victim had enrolled a year back. The library management said that Mangala worked as an accountant at a nearby private college.
According to the police, the victim has been identified as Kanishka, a resident of Bhagat Singh Colony. One bullet grazed her shoulder and another grazed her abdomen. The police have seized the weapon from the crime spot. “Four teams are conducting raids to arrest the accused,” Inspector Shamsher Singh, SHO of City Ballabgarh police station, said.
