Organised jointly by the Delhi Government’s Department of Art, Culture and Language, and the Sahitya Kala Parishad, the event showcased the creativity of around 1,000 children and 75 young artists, alongside a cultural programme titled Anekta Mein Ekta.
Speaking at the event, the CM said, “The future belongs to India. Our country is emerging as a global guru, and the world will witness this rise. The paintings created by children and artists reflect India’s next phase and our nation’s aspirations.” She emphasised that the government was actively working on preserving and restoring Delhi’s historical monuments. During the event, four fully restored monuments were dedicated to the public, while 14 others are currently undergoing restoration in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vikas Bhi aur Virasat Bhi’.
The Chief Minister reminisced about childhood visits to Delhi’s historic sites, noting that maintaining and beautifying monuments is a key government responsibility. She added that the artworks reflected the youth’s dedication and optimism for India’s development. Culture Minister Kapil Mishra lauded the participation of children and youth, saying that India’s Gen Z is deeply connected with the PM and chooses themes such as Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat of their own volition.
