The Delhi Government on Monday approved a salary hike of contract drivers and conductors of the Transport Corporation.

CM Atishi said, “Currently, DTC contractual drivers earn Rs 21,918 per month. With the revised structure, they will now receive Rs 32,918 per month, while conductors will earn Rs 29,250. The salary hike will cost Rs 222 crore annually, and this entire expenditure will be borne by the government.”

The new pay structure places conductors at Pay-Grade Level 2 with a basic pay of Rs 19,200 and grade pay of Rs 1,900, while drivers will be placed at Pay Matrix Level 3 with a basic pay of Rs 21,700 and grade pay of Rs 2,000. Employees will now receive DA along with their salaries.
