In a post on X, the PM said, “With the morning offering (arghya) to Lord Surya, the auspicious festival of Chhath concludes today. Over these four days, we witnessed the divine beauty of this grand tradition. I heartily congratulate all devotees and families who were part of this sacred festival. In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials, offered arghya to the rising sun at Haathi Ghat near ITO, marking the festival’s culmination. She described the celebrations as a reflection of faith, discipline and cultural unity, saying the grandeur of this year’s Chhath Puja had made Delhi “a symbol of devotion and cleanliness.”

“This is not merely a religious observance but a symbol of a New Delhi that stands at the intersection of culture and cleanliness, reverence and service,” she said.

Joined by ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, and Ravinder Indraj Singh, the Chief Minister performed rituals alongside fasting women (vratis) and interacted with devotees.
