The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has sealed Gurugram’s key tourist attraction and entertainment centre, Kingdom of Dreams, due to non-payment of pending dues of around Rs 100 crore.

India’s first live entertainment, theatre and leisure centre set up on 6 acres of HSVP land was sealed was sealed for non-payment of rent. As per the lease, the entertainment centre was owned by the Great Indian Nautanki Company and had to pay around Rs 34 lakh rent every month. The company had not paid it since long and after repeated notices, the HSVP went ahead sealing it.

The sealing is being seen as closure of this attraction that drew thousands with its lavish cuisine and cultural space within the premises known as the Culture Gully. There were various attractions at the centre, including the Showcase Theatre and the Nautanki Mahal.

Various musical performances, carnivals, and theatrical shows used to take place at the Kingdom of Dreams.
