Gurugram police arrest drug peddler, seize 2.7 kg ganja
The Gurugram police have arrested a drug peddler and seized 2.681 kg ganja from his possession, confirmed a police spokesperson.
A police team led by SI Rajesh Kumar, in-charge of the Sikanderpur crime branch, apprehended the suspect near the Nissan service centre in Khandsa village.
Preliminary investigations identified the arrested peddler as Subhakanta Tiwari, alias Pandit, a resident of Pati Sheetal village in Chhapra district of Bihar.
A criminal case has been registered at the Sadar police station here under the NDPS Act’s relevant sections, said SI Rajesh Kumar. The peddler will be produced in judicial court to seek police remand for further interrogation, aiming to uncover the contraband’s source and intended recipients.
