In his complaint, the injured victim, Rocky, stated that on 9 July, he had gone to attend the birthday party of a friend at his residence in Nathupur village.

“During the celebration at 10 pm, Naveen arrived and began hurling abuses at me and my friends. When I objected, Naveen, in a fit of rage, punched me in the eye and pulled out a sharp, knife-like weapon from his pocket. He attacked my face and chest. I sustained severe injuries and was rushed to hospital by my friends. Naveen also threatened to kill me,” Rocky said in his complaint.
