Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh on Friday inaugurated the Medical Innovation Centre (MIC) at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), calling it a step toward strengthening research and technology in government institutions. The minister also opened MedTechX, a three-day event being organised on the campus.

Dr Singh said the centre will support doctors, researchers and students working on new healthcare solutions. “This centre will help address multiple challenges through research, digital health innovation and medical device development,” he added. According to the Delhi government, MIC has been set up under the National Mission on Cyber-Physical Systems and is expected to assist in areas such as diagnostics, integrated data systems and disease control. The event was attended by MAMC Dean Dr Munisha Agarwal, MIC Director Dr Savita Mishra, Lok Nayak Hospital Medical Director Dr BL Chaudhary and several faculty members and students.
