An Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer allegedly died by suicide by jumping off a building in Chanakyapuri area of the national capital, a senior police officer said here on Friday.

Jitendra Rawat was under depression and receiving treatment.

According to the police, no suicide note was found at the place. “Our teams are at the spot and probing the matter. Prime facie, no foul play is suspected," the officer said.

Forensic teams are scanning the flat from where the IFS officer jumped off the balcony.
