New Delhi: A headless body of a newborn was found in a park in Sector 22, Rohini, the police said on Monday. The grim discovery was made after the police received a PCR call at 10.08 am about a stray dog carrying an infant’s body. A local police team rushed to the spot and found the remains. Due to the severe mutilation, the gender of the newborn could not be determined, the police said. TNS

Miranda House hikes hostel fee

New Delhi: The Delhi University’s Miranda House college has hiked its hostel fees for students by Rs 6,000 per semester, the Students’ Federation of India said on Monday. Miranda House Principal Bijayalaxmi Nanda said the hike has been effected keeping in view the “inflation” and “maintenance cost” for the facility. PTI
