Indoor stadium set for Feb completion

The indoor stadium being constructed at IP University’s Dwarka campus is on track for completion by February 2025, with 60 per cent of the work already finished. The project, which has a budget of Rs 20 crore, aims to enhance sports facilities for students across the university’s two campuses and over 100 affiliated colleges.

Spanning 3,750 sq m, the state-of-the-art stadium will feature a range of sports facilities, including two badminton courts made from advanced maple wood, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a table tennis court and a squash court.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
