The information was published by Stanford University.
Remarkably, this is the sixth consecutive year that Mohapatra has earned this distinction.
He has been placed at an all-India rank of 107 in the career rankings for applied physics.
The list, which was released on September 19, evaluates scientists across disciplines based on standardised citation indicators, including citations, h-index and c-score (a composite indicator for research impact).
Mohapatra completed his PhD from the Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar, before pursuing postdoctoral research at the Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi; SAINT in South Korea, and CSNSM, Orsay, France. Since 2008, he has been serving at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, where he now leads the Multifunctional Nanomaterials Laboratory.
Over the course of his career, he has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, contributed two book chapters, and edited one book. He serves as the editor of international journals NANO and Materials Open, associate editor of Frontiers in Nanotechnology (Nanocatalysis) and Frontiers in Chemistry (Nanoscience), and reviewer for over 110 reputed international journals.
