While interacting with the media, Jha credited his success to his parents and teacher, who supported him during the difficult times. “I used to study for about five to six hours daily with no inconsistency. I didn’t even expect that such a good result would come. My preparations were good, so my result also come out well,” Jha said.

He has started preparing for JEE (Advanced), which is a gateway to the IITs. Daksh, who is also 17, studied at Rosary Senior Secondary School in Class X and scored approximately 98 per cent marks.

Daksh started taking JEE (Main) syllabus tests in November last year to familiarise with the examination pattern. He also used to take mock tests and solve previous years JEE papers.
