JP Nadda visits Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Palam

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda on Monday visited an Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Palam.

During the visit, he said the demand for a state-of-the-art hospital in the area would be considered. Nadda, who was accorded a warm welcome from residents, was accompanied by South Delhi BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.

Bidhuri stated that after the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, Nadda had assured residents that all necessary health facilities would be made available to them. As part of his visit, the Health Minister also planted a sapling on the premises. The event was attended by MLA Kuldeep Solanki, councillor Seema Pandit, panchayat head of 360 villages Surendra Solanki, and mandal president Aman Jangra.

During the visit, representatives from the 360-village organisation urged Nadda to approve the construction of a new hospital in Palam, highlighting the closure of an existing 50-bed facility. They informed him that the Health Department has three acres of land available in the area, which could be used for the project.

Nadda assured residents that their request would be considered sympathetically. He also emphasised the significance of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in providing healthcare access to Delhi residents. Criticising the previous Delhi government, he claimed that the Kejriwal-led administration had deprived people of free medical treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh by not implementing the scheme.
