The police got a tip-off about Vikas’s movement with an illegal firearm, following which a trap was laid near Hiran Kundna Mor in Southwest Delhi.

When the team intercepted him, the accused fired three rounds at the police party.

One of the bullets struck the bulletproof jacket of Head Constable Sandeep, narrowly averting injury. The police fired two rounds and overpowered the accused.
