Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena on Monday directed the NDMC and MCD for ensuring proper sanitation and mitigation of mosquito breeding.

He called the rising cases of dengue ‘worrying’ and asked for measures to be taken on a war footing.

Taking on X (formerly Twitter), Saxena said, “The rising cases of dengue and related hospitalisation in Delhi, despite a dip in temperature, are worrying.”

“Spoke to the Chief Secretary, NDMC Chairman, MCD Commissioner & Secretary (Health), GNCTD to ensure proper sanitation and mitigation of mosquito breeding on a war footing.” he added.
