Kala Hari Kumar, president, Navy Welfare and Wellness Association, and wife of the Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, inaugurated the facilities, the Indian Navy said. Designed to accommodate 40 students the computer lab called Param is equipped with state-of-the-art furniture, learning charts and upgraded hardware. The conference room has the provision to connect all naval schools and would facilitate faculty development programmes and online academic interactions among children. The new lift is aimed at providing children with special needs easier access to all school facilities, in line with the ethos of the school to provide holistic and inclusive education.
Essay-Writing Contest on Shivaji
The Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat unit of Deshbandhu College is organising an essay-writing competition on ‘Relevance of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Vision for National Development’. The contest will be held on February 19 at the conference hall of the college. The event offers participants an opportunity to showcase their analytical skills and articulate Shivaji Maharaj’s vision. Winners will receive cash prizes.
IGNOU extends admission deadline
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension of deadlines for both fresh admissions and re-registration for the January-2024 session. The deadline for fresh admissions offered in open and distance learning (ODL) or online mode has been extended to February 29. Besides, the last date for re-registration, without incurring late fee, has also been extended to February 29.
