​Liquor businessman shot at thrice in Gurugram

A liquor businessman was shot at thrice by his friend in front of KLJ Society in Sector 70 of Greater Faridabad.

The businessman was seriously injured and admitted to a private hospital.

It is alleged that the accused who fired the shots was furious as the liquor businessman had taken the accused's wife with him to Manali.

An FIR was registered at BPTP police station. Three special police teams are engaged in searching for the accused who fled the scene.

According to the police, the businessman Suresh, who lives in Sector 10, also has a salon in Sector 9. Four days ago, Suresh had gone to Manali with his security guard Sonu and his wife. Suresh had also taken along Megha, accused Vinod’s wife who lives in Sector 2 and works as a manager at Suresh's salon. Megha and Vinod, a resident of Junheda, married a year ago, but for some time, there was a tussle between the couple.

On returning from Manali around 2 am on Tuesday, Suresh went to drop off his security guard Sonu and his wife at KLJ Society. There, Vinod came in a car with one of his associates and opened fire on Suresh.

In the attack, three bullets hit Suresh in the chest, stomach and neck. The gunman tried to catch the accused, but the accused along with his partner beat up the gunman. Hearing the gunshot, people living nearby came out of their houses. Vinod threatened to kill Suresh and fled. Dial 112 reached the spot and admitted Suresh to a nearby private hospital.

“An FIR has been registered and the police teams are conducting raids to nab the accused. He will be arrested soon,” said ACP Crime Varun Dahiya.
