Man arrested for murder

The Gurugram police have arrested the accused for the murder of a clerk of a transport company. The body of the deceased was found on October 22 morning in the IMT Manesar area.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Kumar Gaurav Singh (38), a native of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. He worked as a clerk for a transport company in Kankrola village near Manesar, and lived in a rented house. An FIR of murder was registered at IMT Manesar police station.

While investigating, the police team arrested the accused, identified as Ajay alias Bhuwani (34), a native of Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh, today. The police have recovered the mobile phone of the deceased from the possession of the accused.

During interrogation, the accused said he was a labourer and that he had an argument with Gaurav on the night of October 21. He hit Gaurav in the head with the crutch which he was carrying.

“The accused took his mobile and wallet and fled from the spot. We are questioning him,” a police spokesperson said.
