According to the complaint filed by the dog’s owner, Shoba Rani, the incident occurred on Wednesday in the Nai Basti area. She alleged that her pet (german shepherd) barked at a 10-year-old boy, Amit’s son, after he threw a stone at the dog. The dog reportedly fell as the dog reacted.

The dog was seriously injured, and is in critical condition, Rani’s husband told the police.
