Man falls from flyover, dies

The police said the deceased, Rakesh Kumar Agarwal, a resident of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad (UP), was riding on his scooty when his vehicle was hit by a speeding car after which he fell from the flyover and died.
The police have registered an FIR against the car driver, who is on the run. The victim was rushed to hospital by an auto-rickshaw driver Amit Kumar where doctors declared him brought dead. Amit told the police that around 12 am, he saw a man falling from the flyover near Manglam Cut.
“With the help of bystanders, Amit shifted the victim in his auto-rickshaw to the LBS Hospital,” a policeman said.
Based on of the complainant’s statement, a case under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 106(1) (causing death by a rash or negligent act) of the BNS was registered at the Pandav Nagar police station and a probe initiated into the incident, the policeman said.
