Man gets 10-yr jail for raping minor

If the fine is not paid, the convict will have to undergo an additional six months of imprisonment.
As per the police, the incident took place in the Ferozepur Jhirka police station's beat. The complainant informed the police that his minor daughter had left the house on the evening of October 28 in 2023 with food for her brother, she never reached him.
The family searched around but she was not found. The family said that around 10 days back, the accused had threatened, over the phone, that if the victim did not marry him, he would elope with her. The accused had also been sexually assaulting the minor. The accused, Hriday Tikadhar alias Shankar, a West Bengal native, was arrested following an FIR.
“The court of Additional Sessions Judge Dr Ashu Sanjeev Tinjan has sentenced him to 10 years,” a police spokesperson said.
