A 28-year-old man was murdered in Faridabad’s Ballabgarh area on Karva Chauth, while his wife was waiting for him to return home after fasting for his long life. Five men attacked him with a screwdriver and rods and killed him.

The police have arrested one accused and also taken a minor in custody. The deceased was identified as Satish, a resident of Machgar village, who worked at a private firm in Sector 68.

According to the complaint filed by Neeraj, the deceased’s brother, Satish had gone to work on Friday but did not return home. Late in the evening, they get to know that his brother Satish had been murdered near Power House, IMT Bypass Road.

Following the complaint, an FIR of murder was registered at the Sadar Ballabgarh Police Station. Taking immediate action in the case, the police arrested an accused Vikas (19), a resident of Dayalpur village, Faridabad, and took a juvenile into custody.

“Vikas, who is an auto driver, revealed that he had had an altercation with Satish. To avenge this, he and his associates murdered Satish. We are conducting raids to nab the others accused,” a police spokesperson said.
