The court of Additional Session Judge Ashwani Kumar on Tuesday sentenced a convict to 20-year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 40,000 on him in the case of raping a minor in 2021.

According to the police, on February 9, 2021, a complaint was received at the West women’s police station regarding a minor girl being raped after being lured.

An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the POCSO Act at the police station.

The police had arrested the accused, identified as Mohammad Taj, alias Rahul, of Bicchor village in Nuh district, on February 19, 2021.
