Man shoots himself dead at home in Faridabad

A 40-year-old man allegedly shot himself dead with an unlicensed pistol at his residence in Pali village, Faridabad, on Tuesday morning. Police said the deceased, identified as Rajendra Bhadana, had been under considerable stress for some time.

According to the police, Bhadana, who was engaged in the finance business, shot himself at around 9 am. Though he was rushed to hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Investigations revealed that Bhadana had returned home around 4 am on Tuesday along with a friend. “His son had gone out to drop the friend off and, upon returning, found that Rajendra had shot himself in his room,” a police official said.

Inspector Randhir Singh, SHO of Dabua police station, said, “The body has been kept at BK Hospital for post-mortem. Further action will be taken after the report is received. The weapon used by the deceased was unlicensed. A further probe is under way.”
