Three persons have been arrested in connection with the fatal attack on a 25-year-old man in Delhi’s Rohini, the police said on Sunday. The victim’s relative also sustained injuries in the attack. According to the police, the incident took place in the Aman Vihar area on June 26, when the victim, Deepak, was returning home from the market with his wife and brother-in-law, Parveen. Deepak and Parveen were attacked by three men with a knife. They were rushed to a hospital, where Deepak was declared dead on arrival, said a police officer. Parveen is still undergoing treatment. A case was registered at the Aman Vihar police station. Multiple teams were formed to probe the case. Three accused - Ajay (25), his brother Amit (27) and their associate Rohit (24), all from Mangolpuri, - were apprehended. The knife and the vehicle used in the crime had also been recovered.

Man found dead with throat slit

New Delhi: A 30-year-old man, Sunil Mandal, was found dead with his throat slit inside his house in the Metro Vihar area here on Sunday, the police said. The body was found on the ground floor of the house, where he lived on rent, at around 7.40 am, they said. The police said Mandal, a native of Darbhanga district, Bihar, worked in Delhi as a waiter. A forensics team was called to the spot to conduct inspection and collect evidence, the police said, adding that no arrests had been made so far. The motive behind the murder is yet to be established.
