The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has rolled out new enforcement rates for composition fees, removal charges and storage fees for goods and vehicles obstructing or encroaching public spaces. Under the updated structure, composition fees now range from Rs 600 for hawkers and squatters to Rs 15,000 for water trolleys. Removal charges are categorised based on load weight, with four different slabs—Rs 300 for loads up to 40 kg, escalating to Rs 2,000 for loads exceeding five quintals.

The MCD has also introduced a two-tiered system for storage charges. Goods, excluding vehicles, will incur a fee of Rs 100 per day for items weighing less than 1 quintal, and Rs 200 per quintal per day for items over 1 quintal. Vehicle storage charges will depend on size, starting at Rs 500 per day for two-wheelers and reaching up to Rs 8,000 per day for multi-axle trailers.
