Medical attendant dies by suicide
A 27-year-old medical attendant allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the 13th floor of a housing society in Sector 50. The attendant was hired three days ago through an agency to take care of an elderly person.
The police said they have taken the body of the deceased in custody and kept it in the mortuary. They said the family has been informed and a postmortem of the body would be conducted after the kin arrives.
The police said that according to the complaint filed by Ravi Gulati, a resident of Park View Society, he had hired Ravi, a resident of Bareilly in UP, as a medical attendant three days ago through Indo Global Home Care Agency to take care of his 83-year-old father-in-law.
“The agency had hired him as a replacement. Ravi jumped from the 13th floor of the society at around 8.00 am on Friday. People gathered after hearing the sound and he was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” said Gulati in his complaint.
Inspector Satyawan, said, “The cause behind the suicide is not ascertained yet and no suicide note was found. We informed his family in Bareilly. Action will be taken after the family files any complaint.”
