The Gurugram police have arrested seven persons, including a minor, for their involvement in various theft cases. The police recovered three stolen bikes, a scooter, 11 mobile phones and Rs 8,246 in cash from their possession.

The arrested were identified as Kapil, alias Kalu, from Gurgaon Gaon, Hardeep, alias Ranjha, and Balwinder from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, Ranjeet Singh from Alwar, Rajasthan, and Salman and Albaksh from Surat Nagar Colony, Gurugram.

According to a police spokesperson, the minor was arrested by the Sector 31 crime unit for possessing a stolen mobile phone. The DLF Phase 4 crime unit arrested Kapil for stealing a donation box from a temple. Meanwhile, Balwinder, Ranjeet and Hardeep were arrested for bike theft, while Salman and Albaksh were involved in stealing mobiles from a shop.

“During interrogation, Salman and Albaksh admitted to committing another theft in Gurugram. The investigation is ongoing,” said the police spokesperson.
