A woman approached the police claiming that her 25-year-old daughter had been missing. Initially, the police registered a missing complaint and launched a search operation. When the woman insisted that her daughter might have been abducted, the police lodged an FIR under Section 140(3) (kidnapping, abduction) of the BNS.

During investigation, the police suspected the role of the victim’s husband, Faizal (28), a resident of Khajuri, and arrested him. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to killing his wife.

The police said Faizal revealed that he, along with his friend, allegedly shot his wife in the car on November 20. The accused then allegedly disposed of her body before fleeing.
