New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairman Amit Yadav spearheaded a ‘Suvidha Camp’ at the NDCC Convention Centre to address public grievances swiftly. Seventy-seven grievances, concerning various departments like civil engineering, public health, and tax department, were received during the camp. Over 100 officers from 30 departments were present for on-the-spot resolutions. The NDMC also launched a Jan Suvidha Portal for contactless grievance redressal. TNS

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has stepped up security after a low-intensity blast at a popular Bengaluru entry left 10 people injured, an official said on Saturday. Districts police chiefs have been directed to increase vigil in crowded areas, especially in Delhi markets, the official said. Market associations have been asked to remain alert and approach their local police stations in case of any suspicious activity. PTI

Body found near Metro station

New Delhi: Decomposed body of an unidentified person stuffed in a sack was found at the Rohtak road here on Saturday afternoon, the police said. A call was received at 2.45 pm about an abandoned sack lying near Metro pillar number 124 on the Rohtak Road in west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area, they said. “It is suspected that it is a woman’s body, but it is yet to be established as the body is highly decomposed,” an officer said. A case of murder is being registered at the Punjabi Bagh police station and investigation has been taken up, he said.
