The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on May 4 carried out searches at 10 locations in Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi in connection with the 2024 Neemrana hotel firing incident, which has been linked to Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dalla.

The attack, which took place on September 8, involved 35 rounds of gunfire directed at the premises of Hotel Highway King in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The aim was to instil fear and threaten the people.

The two attackers were subsequently identified as members of the Bambiha gang, having connections with Dalla’s terrorist-gangster network. They were found to have used prohibited weapons during the attack and also issued extortion threats to the hotel owner and manager. Prior to the shooting, the manager had reportedly received several threat calls from international numbers.

The NIA, which had taken over the case in December, conducted searches at the premises of suspects allegedly involved in promoting violent criminal activities. During the raids, the agency seized several electronic devices and incriminating materials.

As per NIA investigations, the suspects had provided financial support for acts of violence and terror at the behest of Arsh Dalla and his associate, Dinesh Gandhi. Dalla’s associates have been resorting to extortion and targeted violence to raise funds for banned Khalistani terrorist outfits.

Businessmen and other targets were reportedly identified by the gang and coerced into paying huge sums under threat of violence.

Investigations in the case are ongoing as part of NIA’s all-out efforts to identify and dismantle terrorist and gangster syndicates active in the country.
