Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday Celebrated Onam with the Malayali Community at her official residence ‘Seva Sadan’ calling it not is not merely a festival of harvest and prosperity, but a celebration of brotherhood, unity and shared happiness.

She mentioned that nearly one million Malayali families reside in Delhi and they have not only preserved their rich cultural traditions but also enriched the city with their heritage.

The CM took part in traditional dance performances and personally served guests authentic Onam delicacies.

“It is a matter of pride and honour for me that you have all gathered today in my home, this ‘Jan Seva Sadan’, and begun the festivities from here,” she added.

“Let us all draw inspiration from this festival and make Delhi into a true family, where every religion, every community, and every tradition is accorded equal respect, and where we all work together to take Delhi forward,” the CM mentioned.

Conveying her greetings to all Malayali families and citizens, she said over the next 10 days, Delhi will remain immersed in the spirit and joy of the festival.

She also appealed to all sections of society to work collectively towards making Delhi clean, beautiful, and prosperous.
